I’ve gotten dental bonding on my two front teeth when I was about 12 years old. I fell off my bike and chipped them. I’m now 30, and they’re pretty stained. I know that teeth whitening can’t whiten bonding more than it already is, but will it be able to get the bonding back to their original color?

Debbie,
Unfortunately, teeth whitening will not help your bonding. In fact, it will just make it look significantly worse, because the natural part of your teeth will get whiter, but the bonding part will say the same color. My recommendation is to just get them replaced if it bothers you that much. If you decide to do that, go ahead and get your teeth whitening done first, then you can match your new bonding to the whiteness level you’re wanting. To speed things up, you can do DASH Whitening, which enables you to get all the whitening done in one appointment.
