For fast relief from severe toothache and temperature sensitivity, Advanced Cosmetic & Implant Dentistry offers Root Canal Seattle therapy designed to save your natural tooth and protect your overall health. Led by Dr. Daniel McKay, Dr. Allen Liu, and Dr. Jason Gov, our downtown Seattle team uses state-of-the-art technology and local anesthesia for a comfortable, pain free treatment experience. Have urgent tooth pain? Call 1-206-381-3055 for prompt help today.

Our root canal treatment removes infected pulp from the pulp chamber and tooth roots, disinfects canals, and seals them with gutta percha before placing a strong permanent restoration. This endodontic therapy helps stop infection, prevents dental abscess formation, and preserves healthy tooth structure—often in one visit. If you’re exploring comprehensive options after endodontic treatment, we also provide durable porcelain dental crowns to restore function and appearance.

When you need root canal therapy

Left untreated, a tooth infection can spread from the tooth’s nerve and soft tissue to surrounding gums and bone. Signs you may need canal therapy include throbbing pain, swelling, lingering sensitivity, discomfort when chewing, or a pimple-like bump on the gums indicating a dental abscess. Our dentists perform thorough exams with digital x-rays to pinpoint the affected tooth and craft a plan tailored to your oral health goals.

Comfort, sedation, and convenience

We place your comfort first with local anesthetic and a rubber dam to isolate the tooth during the procedure. For anxious patients, gentle options are available through our sedation dentistry services, making treatment more relaxed from start to finish. Many patients return to normal routines the same day with straightforward root canal recovery instructions.

  • Comprehensive diagnostics and precise root canal procedure
  • Temporary filling when needed prior to permanent restoration
  • Custom crowns to strengthen the treated tooth
  • Clear guidance on dental insurance and financing options
  • Follow-ups to support proper care and long-term results

What to Expect During Endodontic Treatment in Seattle, WA

During your visit, we’ll numb the area, access the pulp chamber, remove infected pulp and nerves, shape and disinfect the canals, then seal them to stop infection. Most root canals are surprisingly comfortable, and patients often feel immediate relief from tooth pain. If you’ve previously received root canal therapy and symptoms return, our team can evaluate root canal retreatment to resolve persistent infection and protect your dental health.

For chips, breaks, or dental trauma that expose the dental pulp, timely care is critical. Explore our targeted resources for sudden pain on our emergency dentistry page, and learn how we repair damage with strong, aesthetic solutions like composite fillings for cavities or advanced CEREC same‑day crowns when appropriate.

Aftercare and long-term protection

With proper care—good oral hygiene, regular checkups, and a quality crown—root canals can last for many years, helping you keep your natural tooth. Our team will review brushing and flossing strategies, schedule regular dental visits, and discuss options if extensive damage requires implants or other restorations. If tooth replacement is needed, explore our comprehensive implant dentistry solutions for lifelike function and aesthetics.
